GORHAM COIN SILVER PORRINGER c. 1855-1865
Gorham made this coin silver porringer circa 1855-1865. Beside the Gorham mark, it is stamped COIN. Dimensions: 6-1/4 inches in length including the handle, 4-1/2 inch bowl, and 1-5/8 inches high. Weight is 4.63 troy ounces. The porringer has later engraving on the bottom, which might make it more interesting to some---"John Adams Loud III From Great uncle Richard Pigeon Christmas 1947". All in all, a very nice coin silver porringer. These always make a great baby dish.
