| A lamp carved by Henry Bridgewater. A man with a "life sentence and no possibility of parole" at the Louisiana State Prison in Angola. He is a carver of great skills and said to be prolific. His work may be seen from time to time at the Hayes Gallery in New Orleans, and at the 927 Gallery on Royal Street, in New Orleans. He has since died. A great folk art lamp. The headless Wyatt Earp. Sporting his pistols, boots and hat. Ready for a showdown, this lamp would be great for a western or folk art collector. Get a piece of art from a talented carver who did all this while biding his time in Angola Prison. This piece of art is a working, functional lamp. | |||||||||||
