This elegant but simple circa 1920s-30s sterling silver handled tea tray is by M. Fred Hirsch Co., Jersey City, New Jersey. Fisher took over the Hirsch firm in 1945. The tray weighs 57.5 troy ounces and is pictured holding a full-size 5-piece Gorham Plymouth tea service. Dimensions are 21-1/4 inches handle to handle x 13-1/4 inches; 17-1/2 x 12 inches of flat surface. A lovely tray with no monogram, so you can put on your own.
This lovely vintage sterling silver sugar shaker, also known as a muffineer, was made by Fisher. Dimensions are 6-1/4 inches high x 2-1/2 inches in diameter at the widest point. Weight is 3.21 troy ounces. Fisher Silversmiths was a Jersey City, NJ and New York City silver company that manufactured sterling and silver plated holloware and flatware as early as 1936. The firm was successor to M. Fred Hirsch Co.
Sterling silver punch cups are rare as hen's teeth. This set of 10 repousse sterling cups are just gorgeous. Hallmarked by Garrard & Co. Ltd., of Regent Street, London in 1965, the cups measure 3 inches high, 5 inches from handle to rim, and 3-3/4 inches in diameter at the top. On each cup there are two blank cartouches suitable for engraving. The cups average about 5.78 troy ounces in weight. Just look at the images and see how wonderful these punch cups look surrounding a punch bowl!
This exquisite 1920s sterling silver two-handled tea tray measures 28-5/8 inches from handle to handle. It's large with beautiful workmanship. The tray portion is 23-1/2 x 17-1/2 inches. Weight is a hefty 126 troy ounces. The tray is hallmarked, but we cannot identify the maker. This tray will complement just about any tea service and would be striking on your table or sideboard.
This set of 6 vintage sterling silver mint julep cups were made by Trees, of Lexington, Kentucky. Since Mr. Trees is no longer in business and the cups are not being produced, they are always very desirable whenever they come up. These are the classic banded cups. There is no monogram. This ever popular Wakefield Scearce sterling silver mint julep dates from the presidency of Lyndon Baines Johnson (LBJ) in the 1960s. This LBJ cup is not monogrammed and in fine condition. Dimensions: 3-3/4 in. high, 3-1/8 in. at the top, and 2-5/8 in. at the base. Weight is 4.83 troy ounces.
Offered here is a desirable vintage Wakefield-Scearce sterling silver mint julep cup, this one from 1973 from the second term of Richard Milhous Nixon's presidency. The cup bears a M.J.C. monogram and on the bottom, along with the sterling stamp and maker's mark and initials of the 37th President, is engraved Christmas, 1973. Dimensions: 3-3/4 in. high, 3-1/8 in. in diameter at the top, and 2-5/8 in. at the base. Weight is 4.83 troy ounces. Condition is excellent.
This absolutely classic vintage 5-piece sterling silver tea service was made in the 1920s by Gorham in the extremely desirable Plymouth pattern. It comes with a matching silver plate tray. The tea set is not monogrammed. Each piece is stamped with Gorham's mark, STERLING, the number of the piece, which denotes it is the largest of the three Plymouth sizes, and PLYMOUTH.

Gorham made this beautiful vintage sterling silver baby cup, finely engraved with the intitial S. With simple lines and easy for baby to hold, the cup measures 2 inches high, 3-7/8 inches from handle to rim, and 2-3/4 inches in diameter at the rim. It weighs 2.186 troy ounces. Do you know a little one with an S initial?
These two classic sterling silver mint julep cups were made by Empire Silver, probably around the mid-1950s. Quite heavy, one cup weighs 5.59 troy ounces and the other 5.72. Both cups measure 4 inches high, 3-1/8 inches in diameter at the rim and 2-3/4 inches in diameter at the base. Pleasing as a pair or bought individually, each cup is $275. No monogram and in fine condition.
