$2,500.00

This appealing oil on canvas Alpine (European) genre painting is likely Swiss, Bavarian or Italian and depicts a lumberyard by a railroad track. The men in the shack look quite businesslike in their dress and demeanor. The painting is signed and dated Fil. (Fic.) Jos. Kern 1928. Canvas size is 23-3/4 x 31-1/4 inches; framed, the painting is 27-3/4 x 35-1/8 inches. It is a little quirky in its portrayal of a slice of life from that time period.
