This appealing oil on canvas Alpine (European) genre painting is likely Swiss, Bavarian or Italian and depicts a lumberyard by a railroad track. Canvas size is 23-3/4 x 31-1/4 inches; framed, the painting is 27-3/4 x 35-1/8 inches. It is a little quirky in its portrayal of a slice of life from that time period.
