This is a multi-piece sculpture of Noah's Ark by renowned Southern Artist Braxton Ponder. Ponder is a self-taught wood carver who began carving at age 71. He is featured in Kathy Moses book Outsider Art of the South on pages 49-52. This set includes giraffes, bears, camels, birds, leopards, tigers, dachshunds, rabbits and of course Noah and his wife. The ark has a removable roof and a front door that opens. The ark measures 10 1/2 x 18 3/4 x 7.
