This good looking sterling silver handled turn-of-the-century dress cane has a rosewood shaft and measures 35-1/2 inches overall. The handle's dimensions are 2-1/4 inches x 1-1/8 inches in diameter at the top of the knob. It is hallmarked and stamped Sterling. The bimetal tip is 1-1/2 inches in length.
This circa 1880s Victorian lady's dress cane has a most unusual sterling silver handle topping a rosewood shaft with bimetal tip. The handle measures 3-5/8 x 2-7/8 inches and it is engraved in period script "Edith Euritt" for the lady who owned it. The top of the handle is 1-1/2 inches in diameter. The shaft is 3/4 inches in diameter; and the tip is one inch long. Overall length of this different Victorian cane is 35-1/2 inches.

These two circa 1898 gold-topped presentation walking sticks are sold as a set. The first one, engraved "C.G. Leonhardt on his 68th Birthday From the Aurora Lodge No. 633 FAM Aug. 5, 1830", belonged to Christian Gottlieb Leonhardt (Aug. 5, 1830-Jan. 16, 1910) who emigrated from Germany, first to Jefferson, IN where he was a teacher and later to Louisville, KY where he was described in later census records simply as a "capitalist".
